Our Story

On June 20, 2012 at 5:30 PM I was sitting on a bench, head down, looking at the National Charter School Conference program in Minneapolis, MN. “Excuse sir, do you know where the Charter school meetings are?", I heard. I looked up and before my eyes stood an angel from heaven. I heard a beautiful choir and the halo made me squint. I introduced myself, and we spent the remainder of the conference side-by-side, sharing our stories about our children, our life experiences, and our dreams. Two weeks later, for the 4th of July, I was on a flight to Oregon because I missed her, and a month later, she flew to Reno. In a blink, thirteen years has passed. We have grown closer, built a life together, and collected countless memories. On July 5, 2025 we will finally make the public commitment in front of our family, friends, and others that want to be in our storybook dream. Thanks for being in our bubble. Scott
